Yes, I did notice that you said “THIS YEAR”….If YOU notice, that’s what I meant when I said “the YEAR is still young” and “more horrible movies THIS YEAR”…c’mon, pay attention. Maybe you were just too distracted by the way I spelled thoughts. I personally like to save the term “excrutiating” for movies like “Notting Hill” and the like.

Yes, the worst movie. If you notice, big sister, I said the worst movie I HAVE SEEN THIS YEAR. Now, I haven’t seen a great many movies, partly because so few of them interest me, partly because I’m broke. And yes, it was more than a disappointment, it was excruciating. So there….. ;-P

C’mon, David…the “worst” movie? There are so many bad movies out there. Are you sure it wasn’t more just extreme disappointment? While yes, it is true that I haven’t seen enough movies (since I try to have a life), I still didn’t live in agony while watching this one. Having said that, I will admit to looking at my watch after an hour hoping it would get somewhere, and it did start to pick up more toward the end. It wasn’t so much that I was surprised at the ending as much as I didn’t really care how it ended. I couldn’t empathize with the character enough to feel anything about what he was going through or the resolution. I think the only feeling I pretty much walked away with was that this seemed like the first movie that Leonardo didn’t seem so much like a baby, compared to other movies I have seen him in. Just my thounghts. The year is still young…fingers crossed there will be more horrible movies out this year!
